If God Gave Me Gills

If God Gave Me Gills

If God gave me gills,
How happy I would be;
Swimming around,
And playing in the sea.

If God gave me gills,
The adventures I would have;
Exploring the worlds beneath the waves,
And discovering its secrets.

If God gave me gills,
The wonders I would see,
Diving among the kelp forests,
And seeking out the coral reefs.

If God gave me gills,
The friends I could make;
Swimming with the fish,
And leaping with the dolphins.

If God gave me gills,
How fantastic it would be;
A whole new world,
Just for me.

If God gave me gills,
I would have to bid you goodbye,
For once out there,
I would never know the tides.

For If God gave me gills,
Forever I would remain,
Beneath the winds,
And among the waves.

If God gave me gills...
