Our Only Hope is You
God,
You know my heart,
You know how I burn with the desire to provide for my family,
But, Lord,
I work and work and it is not enough.
I pick up extra jobs.
I burn the candle at both ends.
And yet,
It is not enough.
I am not enough.
God,
Please restore my family.
God,
I need You.
I know that this burden is too great for me to bear,
And that no matter what I do, the work of my hands is not enough.
God,
I have nothing left.
Our only hope is You.
Please reach out your hand,
Provide for my family,
Protect my family,
Anoint us with Your blessing.
Be our ever-present help in times of trouble,
Be our shelter in this storm.
Lord, I am crying out to You;
Have mercy upon my family.
