Time

Time

It’s okay.
I know that time stretches and bends from eternity to the blink of an eye,
Never linear,
Never at the right speed at the right place at the right time.
It jumps around;
Starting and stopping,
Starting and stopping,
But never when you want it to.
The hard things in life seem to last forever,
And the good…only a heartbeat.
So hold onto the good,
Store it in the chest called joy that lies nestled within your ribs,
Alongside the one called hope so that they may keep each other good company.
And when the hard times come,
You can take these things that lie tucked away within your heart,
And you will have light to guide you along your way for another day.
