Why I Hide Myself

I hide myself to save myself.
To save myself from hurt,
To save myself from strife,
To save myself from the things that the world thinks are okay;
Because they aren’t.
They aren’t fine.
They aren’t true.
They are not good for me and you.
They hurt,
They break,
They tear down instead of create.
Those things aren’t for you and me,
They aren’t for anyone you see!
